Our Company

Bringing learning to life, from a teacher to a parent.

From the "why's" to the "what can I do's", every parent wanted to know more.

CERCOR is the only educational resource created by teachers for parents that delivers best practices in education for home use.

Authored by experienced educators, the website content has been created with the goal of connecting learning at school with authentic, real life learning opportunities at home. Based on teachers' experiences, CERCOR has discovered very specific methods and activities that offer students the most optimal and meaningful learning opportunities.

There is much research that suggests that a significant barrier to parent involvement is lack of knowledge of educational theory, and minimal guidance from schools and teachers. CERCOR aims to deliver tried and tested, effective, and engaging educational approaches to parents, the true experts of their child. Information is communicated via a user-friendly interface where parents are able to access highly creative and insightful activities across content areas at the elementary grade levels, specifically K-5.

Our company name CERCOR, is derived from the Cerebral Cortex, the portion of the brain that is responsible for learning, reasoning, and memory. CERCOR aims to develop and support a child's higher order thinking skills through excitement and active involvement in learning.
